Playa Zaragoza

Playa Zaragoza Playa Zaragoza is a small beach on an idyllic bay with fishing boats. It is located on the northern coast of Isla Margarita, to the west of Punta Zaragoza hill (which has a lighthouse on it). It is the very next beach from Playa Puerto Cruz, if you travel to the west.

You will access Playa Zaragoza by first coming through the Pedro González village; and in fact on several maps this beach is often named Playa Pedro González. (But the sign on the beach itself says "Playa Zaragoza".)

There are small waves breaking into the shore; but just a little ways to the water where you swim, the sea is quite calm. The beach does not deepen very quickly but quickly enough that this beach is perfect for swimming - and is my personal favorite!

The usual services such as beach chairs, restaurant, and bathroom are available.

This beach is lined by a pretty red-brick boulevard with beautiful colonial houses on it. You will also see fishing boats docked on the sides, or anchored in the bay. There are pelicans around for the bird-lovers to observe!
